ARTUR DUTKIEWICZ is a composer and a pianist who started playing at the age of eleven. He finished his study of jazz and pop music at the Music Academy in Katowice (Poland).
Artur performed with the BCD Trio, Szukalski-Dutkiewicz Duet and the Quartet of Tomasz Szukalski. Their album, "Tina Blues" recorded in 1987 with Tomasz Szukalski, was named "Album Of The Year" by the readers of the Jazz Forum magazine. In addition, one of Artur's compositions won the first prize at the Jazz Jantar '86 composer's competition.
In 1987 Artur was one of the finalist at the Thelonious Monk competitions in Washington, DC.
In 1988 he toured with the "Zbigniew Namyslowski Quartet", performing in Germany, Denmark, Italy and Russia.
Between 1990 and 1993 he performed with French musicians such as Alaine Brunet, Pierre Michelot and others.
In 1996, Artur founded the "ELECTRIC JAZZ CONCERT" Band.
The band's repertoire consists of Artur's compositions.
